Farmhouse emblazoned, at the gates of the city of Ourém

Quinta de S. Gens is a farm emblazoned at the gates of the city of Ourém, with numerous hectares of varied forest and vineyards, dominated by an important manor house from the 16th century. XVIII, with an implantation of about 4000 m2.


The Quinta de S. Gens was built in 1688 by António Home de Magalhães, a native of S. Gens, and in 1735 passed to his heir, the sergeant-master Luiz Valentim Leite Home de Magalhães.


It is certain that in 1756 the fifth one continues in extensions, being that date of this time the construction or reconstruction of the oil mill and of the mill of flour, assigning to this farm, agricultural functions and permanent housing.
